What we do
BCCEAS works to prevent elder abuse and to provide assistance and support to older adults that are, or may be, abused and those whose rights have been violated.
We provide programs that educate, support and advocate on behalf of our clients. Our agency has two types of programs:
Community Programs
Our community programs maintain close links to the community and have been developed based on needs identified by older adults. Our community programs include the the Seniors’ Help & Information Line and the Seniors Reaching out to Seniors Program.
Please see our community programs section for complete details.
Legal Programs
Our legal services include several legal advocacy initiatives, the Elder Law Clinic (which is the first legal aid clinic for older adults in western Canada) and the Seniors Information & Help Line, available to any older adult (age 55+) who has a legal question or problem.
Please see our legal assistance section for complete details on all our legal progams.
