Info sheet on Reporting Crimes

Please note that this info sheet is useful on its own, but is also part of the Community and Justice System Working Together Education Kit.

It can be very difficult and upsetting to make a report to the police about abuse, especially if the person harming you is someone you care about. Most seniors have a lot of questions about what is involved and what to expect.

This info sheet includes some helpful tips for making a report with the police, information about what happens after a report is made and what happens to the person accused (bail, recognizance and peace bonds).
